Breathing quickly, Ryutaro looked around nervously as he climbed over the fence, landing awkwardly on his feet and falling forward, getting dirt all over his jeans. Standing up, he brushed the dirt off and cursed when he saw a small hole in his jeans, already imagining the way his mother was going to yell at him later. Shaking his head, he pushed those thoughts aside and walked around the side of the house, to the small backyard where he saw his target’s window, a dim light no doubt casted by his bedside lamp.
“I hope I won’t regret this,” Ryutaro mumbled to himself as he approached the window and tapped on it, stepping back quickly when a shadow moved across the room.
“Ryutaro?” the window opened and Chinen stuck his head out, looking at him curiously, “Why are you here?”
“I needed to see you,” Ryutaro took a deep breath and walked back towards the window, stepping on a medium sized rock. The rock began to slip under his weight though, and before Ryutaro could catch himself, he was falling forward and into the wall under Chinen’s window, banging his head against the hard surface and falling to the ground, clutching his head in pain.
“Ryutaro!” Chinen gasped and jumped out of his window, taking the boy into his arms and holding him close, “You’re bleeding!”
“That’s okay,” Ryutaro muttered, taking one of his hands off of his forehead and placing it on Chinen’s cheek, getting a little bit of blood onto the pale skin, “You’re here, so the pain is already fading.”
Chinen frowned, “I think you bumped your head a little too hard, we should take you to the hospital.”
“No!” Ryutaro sat up and shook his head, “No, I don’t need a doctor or a hospital or anything, as long as I have you.”
“I don’t understand-” Chinen was interrupted though when Ryutaro leaned forward and kissed him, lips pressed together as they starred at each other, wide eyed. Ryutaro pulled back and coughed, looking down at the ground as he apologized, “Sorry to just, spring it on you like that.”
“That’s okay,” Chinen smiled, blushing as he poked Ryutaro in the side, “You like me?”
Ryutaro nodded, “Yeah, I was starring at the stars earlier and everything was so clear and perfect, and it made me think of you even more because you’re so wonderful and perfect to me, and I don’t really understand love quite yet cause I’m still young but you make me happy Chii,” Ryutaro looked back up and into Chinen’s eyes, “I’d do anything for you, because you’re so special to me.”
Chinen’s blush grew darker and his smile grew wider as he leaned forward and initiated a kiss, moving his lips against Ryutaro’s who melted into the kiss, wrapping an arm around Chinen’s shoulders and pulling him closer, deepening the kiss between them.
“I like you too,” Chinen pulled back, breathing deeply as he hugged Ryutaro, “And I want to keep kissing you til I can’t breathe, but you’re forehead hasn’t stopped bleeding.”
“Oh,” Ryutaro chuckled, brushing a hand against his forehead and hissing in pain, wiping the blood on his pants, “Bandage me up?”
“Okay,” Chinen nodded and helped Ryutaro up, and with a little bit of teamwork and laughter, they shimmied their way into Chinen’s room and quickly fixed Ryutaro’s injury, so they could get back to kissing as soon as possible.
