yeah I actually am finding myself reading the Bible more because its incredibley philosophical. i wish reading the Bible wasn't tainted by our media crazed society as an act of religious fanaticism. gah! (big words huh :D) anwyas i agree that Jesus had a lot of great ideas, Messiah or not.

i know for myself, I have to believe there is something more out there. its a decision i have been struggling with since like sophomore year and have finally been ok with saying "I need to know there is something more to all of this"

and i do think our experience determines our morality. now im maybe starting wonder if there is no truth that is universal. but then if that is so then ...what is truth?

you should read the cat's cradle by kurt vonnegut. i didnt enjoy the actual writing personally but maybe you will. i think its on sparknotes if you just want to read summaries of it. but it deals exactly with that. i read it last year and still today i will have mini-epiphanies randomly about it
