well here it is... i'm blogging, again, something i never thought i'd do again. but yeah, things need to come off my chest, and well... yeah. i could write in my RS blog, but i figure if no one is going to respond to the entry, perhaps it will hurt less if no one knows its there. Yet that is still a blatant admittance that I have no friends...

As for selling the cels, I can only suggest breaking them up into smaller groups. It can be intimidating to buy into a large lot of cels, no matter how cheap they are. Maybe you can find a local anime convention where you could sell them? Cons are a great place for impulse buyers and if the table rental isn't too high that may be the way to go. Honestly, I've had more luck selling my stuff (my own art mostly) at the local cons (and Anchorage is very small market) than I have online.

And the cels... I tried selling them on eBay individually... Items I paid $25-$60 for couldn't even get a $.99 starting bid (w/no reserve). So I thought I'd try a huge lot. I wish I had the nerve to do a Con alone. I'm really not sure I could do all the setting up alone, not to mention dealing with the people alone. I'm not sure but I think the most local con for me is about an 1-2hr (one way) drive away. I live in such a Podunk little town in Ohio 4,300 people and we're the largest in the county. LOL. It is something to consider though, for right now the items are back up in my gallery under their old

I wouldn't say I'm the most extroverted person. . . in fact I think I've been called *reserved* a time or two. I almost always end up doing table sales at a con by myself. . . I just put on my game face and soldier on. But getting that first in-person sale is kind of exciting. You'd definitely have to weigh the expense versus the return though. At the local conventions here the table rental is really cheap so I only have to factor in around $25 plus gas. So I don't have to worry about doing spectacularly well. . . it's when I travel by air that I angst about sales.

On the con front you are so much braver than I am... ^_^ Though I think your talent with watercolors is defiantly something to give some courage/ability to put on that game face. ^_^
