Greg makes a good point about the "...okay...this is new and any number of things could go wrong..." stage. He has to learn his boundaries (IE how much do I see her, how much do I do for her, blah blah blah) He can pick up on a few but they'll be the easy ones. You've got to let him know about the more important ones. You know which ones they are. secondly, there is certianly room for jealousy but since you guys have only been dating for a few weeks now the trust factor hasn't really grown all that much on either side. It takes a first step to opening yourself to him first and formost emotionally.
If all that sounds like crap and ya think he's being dumb and you don't want the guy pestering you and what not about past peoples, I say Dump Him.
But if you want this relationship enough then you've got to talk to the guy, let him know he's buggin' you with the jealously thing and hear him out on if he's got a problem with the whole steve thing. Like jamie was saying , you've got to talk to him and hardest part is getting there.

tell him you want to move slower and have more space. itspretty easy todo once you work up to it...thats the hard part...
he's just used to having a real girlfriend thats attentive and used to being in a relationship
let him know
