I don't think you get struck by lightning if you get a tree, drink eggnog, set up a manger scene, go to Midnight Mass. But....

It's all complicated cause My Dad was brought up christian and my Mom's Jewish. So we can celebrate Christmas..but not have any decorations? I'm confused too

I can see why it's confusing. The tree without decorations is a real mixed message. Sounds like your parents haven't figured this out so they're splitting everything down the middle. Well, it does give you the opportunity to learn all you can about both religions and later maybe you'll pick the one you want to go with.

Yeah, I honestly see judaism as my background, but not necessarily a belief I follow. I'm jewish, but I see myself as more of a spiritual person. What about you?

That guy needs a wider view of the world. lol. I wouldn't say race. But nationality is a good word. Calling Jews a "people" pretty much covers all the bases. Think of it this way, 2,000 years ago, every people, every city had their own god or gods. The Jews did too. It was a local thing. Then Christianity and Islam came along, which tried to convert all the people they could. So of those ancient religions, only Judaism still belongs to a single people. (That was an even longer answer. Are you still reading?)
