What's something people assume you'll be good at, but you're not?
(Mine is Scrabble.)

You're a lazy writer, too. I miss your words. Can you be bribed?

Hmm, what's on the table? It can't be cash, that doesn't set my heart on fire.

I just don't get it. I suppose the rationale is "you love reading/words/books," and yes, that is true, but because of that I don't like to take words apart and try to figure out "high-value" words and shit. Although in my game with K last night I broke 200, so that was nice.

*words, not "works"

Cooking.

I love delicious food and talking about recipes and meal preparation, but I am a terrible cook. People always assume I know my way around the kitchen, but I just know how to convince others to cook good food for me.

That's a pretty important skill to have. Sometimes people are surprised that I can bake fairly well. But seriously, I use a recipe, and how hard is it to measure things and stir them together? Not very.

Oh, I try to be a good cook, it just never turns out how I imagine it will in my head, so I am in charge of the booze. I've been trying a lot harder lately, so hopefully it will pay off and I'll learn to stop burning stuff and how not to over season.

Spelling. I am a notoriously horrible speller. I blame Bill Gates and the wonderful laziness of MS Word.

Just blame TJ. Everybody hates Mexico and their making-us-speak-Spanish ways anyway.
