Now that I don't live in Davis (and don't generally need to go to it or Porter from that direction), it's not as relevant for me, but still, thanks for the heads up!

It's *only* been two years two months? I swear it's been closed since just after we moved here five years ago ...

Time flies when you're having fun? Or being fun?

oh my god, about time.

Doesn't affect me terribly - my kid goes to Cambridge Friends and I live in the 'port, so I can route myself up Mem, but ... yeah.

btw, you may not remember me, we met a while ago in Davis Square, courtesy of aquariumgirl. :)

Hi, it's been some time! I hope things are going well for you and your family.

For your route to the school, I hope the bridge re-opening makes the intersection at Walden and Sherman flow better. Although whether or not someone was parked in front of Paddy's Lunch used to make a large difference in the evening rush hour...

I walked over the bridge this morning hotpoint December 19 2008, 16:26:02 UTC
Since today seemed like a bad day to move the car, I walked to work, and took a route to cross the bridge. There's a construction crew with trucks on the bridge, and it looks like they're loading up the fencing at the ends of the bridge and miscellaneous other stuff. It should be open just in time for the snowplows (which should actually be able to plow this bridge, unlike the last one).
