My roommate walked into the room an hour ago and we have yet to say a word to each other.  Granted, we both had headphones on when she came in, or we would have said hi then, but still.  It's just odd.  It's not like we don't get along - I think she's great.  Maybe not the most engaging conversationalist, and she could stand to wash her dishes more ( Read more... )

the bit about "it's not like we're fighting constantly and slamming doors and messing with each others stuff"...

pretty much my relationship with Amanda

I think its nice not to have to worry about your relationship with your roomie. That's why I like Ashley, we both know when to shut up.

Yeah, I'm definitely thankful I don't have a crow's nest to deal with! You're lucky to have Ashley now :)
I really don't mind the way Kayla and I are, it's just kind of weird I guess.

Being indifferent to your roommate just keeps getting easier as the year progresses. When it came time to move out, I actually had to TRY to get the words "See ya" out of my mouth to my roommate.

That sounds worse than my situation. I mean, we generally exchange pleasantries; I at least imagine we'll bid each other farewell. But it will be a "see ya," as opposed to a tearful hugfest. But you're right, it's gotten much easier to disregard her as the year has gone on.
