heehee, funny you should ask. it's not canon, that's for certain--at least i don't think so. i mean, we know neela's got a rougher side to her, the kind that slings back tequila (or whatever the hell that was) in bars after work and grinds to punjabi mc (mmm punjabi mc!)...
but thing is, neela reminds me a little bit of a teacher i had in high school. she was a laywer turned teacher and taught my int'l human rights law class... what was it, junior year? so this one time she wore a pleated kilt dealy and i was like 'dude you should get some docs and a nose ring.' we also had a running gag that she would be the first indian superhero--though a new school chum seems to have taken her title, however, doubling up pre-med with an english major. but man, this lady, she was too, too cute! i guess the Emily Strange version of Neela is kind of based on her.
I love it - Neela's a little bit punky, and we all know Abby was famous at her Catholic school for wearing a Sex Pistols T-shirt over her jumper. Aww, bless 'em!
Thanks for the new chapter - I'm glad to see they still ended up in the same bed (where they belong) after their first fight :)
