I get what you mean. Things wind up feeling stale if I've been writing it for a while.

I think you've been doing a great job, but if you need to turn away from this, you should. Do what feels right.

If the muse isn't there you can't help it. There's nothing wrong with stepping back for a while. Maybe explore other ideas for a bit, or whatever helps get your juices going again.

And, as salpal said, if you have to turn away from this then turn away.

(but selfishly I hope you don't)

You have nothing to apologize for. Fanfic writing should be about writing what you love--not writing what you feel obligated to write. Sometimes stories just stop flowing and trying to force it will only drive you crazy.

A fic doesn't have to be long to be an enjoyable read.

So thank you for everything you've done and I look forward to reading whatever you're inspired to put out there.
