Modern feminism as it is practiced currently in higher education is nothing more than a fanclub. The idol; any excuse for mediocrity.

Being feminist used to just mean that you wanted women to have equal pay and the right to vote. Alas it has taken on several creepy connotations. I joke these days that many feminists and misogynists are the same--that they're not looking for equal rights, they're just looking for someone to blame.

I was fortunate enough to meet one of my closest female friends in college. We met at a time while she still didn't like men (right at the same time she met her husband). She jokes these days that she's a feminist that hates women. I can't tell you how cool it was to have someone educated in the benefits and pitfalls of feminism stick up for me when I'd make controversial statements. She has enough tenderness and intelligence to get the best from it.

I agree... I have met good members too, as a matter of fact I have some good friends whom are pretty hardcore feminists but they are truly talented individuals and leaders/innovators in their feild... the likes of which I would put head to head talent wise with any man I know. I feel as though if you can walk the walk and talk the talk... keep up the good work. To start this all off... I really, REALLY, like women ( ... )
