choices

Ok so here are the grad school choices..I'm not exactly sure if the following are better:

a) PhD programme
b) central US biz school
c) local (SG) biz school
d) local (foreign) biz school

Think I'm tending towards d) and probably selectively for c). But b) is damn, damn tempting.... The capital outlay is horrendous though..omg.

Why c over d? (More money, same difference?)

Hrm, just saw an advert for c) from 2 different schools.
Incumbent wise, I'm so-so, more inclined for the upstart.
I'm not convinced of the alumni quality, though, for both permutations of c). The programme strength and marketing, that I'm ok with, at least for the upstart.

d), well, yeah, it depends on the target markets that the programme goes towards....if those markets aren't doing well, I don't really see the employment resulting from it happening, haha!

Considering INSEAD is not much cheaper than doing your MBA abroad, why not just bite the bullet and go abroad?

Yeah, but it's much easier to get into, comparatively. At most, 4 terms here in SG campus is doable, cost wise. Or somewhat the same.
When I first started looking, I wasn't expecting the SGD to appreciate that much (or, the Euro to appreciate that much...)

Maybe should hedge the currency amount needed first just in case lol!

Currency hedging seems like a great option...
