those are good lyrics. I heard "oh, inverted world" a while back and it didn't really hit me but I think I was listening to the wrong things. But, in the FREE magazine TAPE-OP, the interview with the Shins made me think they some alright dudes. Coincidently in that same issue, they interviewed AIR. I used to think Air were cool and had some sort of credibility, but in the interview they came off as so pompass (did I spell that right?) that I ended up really changing perspective about them.
If all else fails, check out www.tapeop.com and maybe the Shins and the Air interviews will both be there. Plus, you can get a free subscription to a magazine dealing with the struggling musician and the battle to sound decent. Remember: Struggling musicians are the best musicians. That means they've sacrificed their all for the craft, and don't give a shit for the financial aspect or the commercial aspect. Every musician I know is struggling, also they are dedicated and usually broke. I'm very proud of myself and the musicians I've known.
