alright. i'll admit it now. i am a bit fickle. i went out and bought a very nice and very user friendly sony lappie. i got a good deal on it too. but the thing is that i still really really really want a mac more. i was going to wait until the end of the next quarter to sell this one but i might be able to make more off of it than i spent and get a ( Read more... )

you're weird.

how much did you spend on the laptop? b/c the chances of making back more than you spent, or even more than like half of what you spent, are very small. things depreciate like mad.

that said, if i like the laptop i might buy it from you...but i will be tight for cash b/c of paying for this 5th year, so your laptop's depreciation is my best friend, lol. what are the specs?

the thing is that what i payed for it new is still significantly less than even the depriciated value. even the depriciated value would be around 1200 bucks at a low estimate. i'll still get the info if you are intersted though.

Macs and why I dislike them peregrine373 July 13 2006, 02:50:36 UTC
In regard to our convo the other day, this is what one of my favorite online writers has to say about Macs:

"Now, don’t get me wrong, I love the Mac, especially OS X. It’s beautiful. It’s also intuitive, with one major caveat… it’s very intuitive once you understand how to do something in the first place! Apple’s dumbed-down one-percenter “How To” information can be boiled down to “just do it.” But if you don’t understand how to “just do it” in the first place, you’re fucked. And I say this as an extremely intuitive 20-plus-year computer user."

Amen.
