Well, Mia will hopefully get to come home today. Doc almost released her yesterday, as she had eaten a couple of bites, but overall he recommended leaving her overnight. I was torn, but since she had not fully demonstrated being out of the woods, I thought it better to leave her than to bring her home and have to return on an emergency basis. ( Read more... ) -
Mia update
I called at 8:30 on the nose. She had not thrown up through the night. He wanted to continue to give fluids this morning and observe her. If she didn't get sick again, they were going to try her on water and wait to see. If she passed that test, they'd offer her food to see if she's interested and if she can hold it down. Little Ann is looking all over the house, and it's making me sad! She's looking for her sister. Mia is spending the night in the hospital. The saga began last Saturday with the other one. I came home from the pool to find Little Ann at the sliding glass door, trembling. She had thrown up and had explosive diarrhea. God love that sweet ( Read more... ) -

Well, it's the end of a long day. The day started with a wreck. :( I was only about a mile from the house--running to the store for a few supplies. I apparently looked away for a split second, and there was a car in front of me. I slammed on the brakes, but it was too little, too late.
