I can't pimp recommend Ravelry enough to knitters, crocheters, spinners, designers, etc. Go sign up for an invitation - they're not snobby, they just can't add everyone at one time. It is FANTASTIC. Go. NOW

You'll get in! I am so excited that it's free for everyone to use. I was kind of skeptical, but I was able to noodle around in there for just a little while and it is awesome. I can't even describe it's awesomeness. Just. So. Dang. AWESOME. (Mind you, I don't get giddy like this often).

I'm usually the last to get on the knitting bandwagons, the swaps are closed or done (I missed Sockapalooza4 by this much!), everyone and their mother has made something in a KAL, everyone has a knitting blog, and so on. Ravelry is going to be HUGE. I'm willing to bet it's a big enough and intuitive enough resource that it will cut down on the amount of stupid posts to knitting.

Hopefully the people on knitting don't sit there and go "Hay, I did somefing, luk on my Ravelry payge. Link!"

You know those kinds of posts will be banned straight off. I wonder how the traffic of the community will be affected when Ravelry is full open?
