So, me and Carey headed up into the hills of a snowly western Massachusetts on friday to get some official engagement photos done. The results came out pretty well....

I have to ask though ... what does one do with engagement photos? An American tradition I assume?!

yes, very much an American thing.

All engaged couples put an announcement in the local papers with a proper photo saying when & where the wedding will be. You also give the pictures as gifts to the parents and grandparents etc. It was good fun and nice to have the afternoon off work!
