So a kid pipes up in my last class, saying "Uh, hey, I just got a text message saying we have to evacuate the campus by noon tomorrow

Thanks! It turns out ours was like, the only school evacuated though, so I don't think anything's gonna happen this weekend. Probably just the school admins not wanting to have any responsibility if they lost power. XD

Oh god, the homes on stilts. XD We have them all over the place here, too. Gets out of the flooding, I suppose, but uh, when those winds start hitting? It doesn't really matter that your matchbox of a home is a few feet off the ground. Yer still gonna get ripped through like tissue paper.

Oh god, right? XD I feel realy sorry for those kids that suddenly needed a bus ride/plane ride out of town. I heard someone saying they were going to take a flight. It's nuts.

Yeah, unless something happens to the windows I'd say you're safe. I'm on the first floor in my place, so I just picked up all the rugs and things that like to retain water.
