My hands smell of garlic and ginger and honey and all sorts of wonderful, I'm starting to actually really enjoy cooking. I vaguely follow the recipe laid out in front of me and often just liberally add condiments as and when I please (not very healthy cooking, but hey - for someone who used to screw up instant mac & cheese, I think it says ( Read more... )

Dear hourlilies,

Thanks very much for your interesting blog. It's always nice to see how people on the other side of the globe live, how they share the same joys and sorrows, what they do in their free time, etc.

I actually have a question about your blog. Would you mind helping us with a linguistic research project? We're compiling data from various Singaporean weblogs. All it requires is checking a few boxes. If you want to take part and/or have more questions, drop me a note ( hack2301@uni-trier.de RE: Question ) so that I can then send you the 'official' project eMail. We'd really appreciate your help.

Thanks very much in advance!
Best regards,
- Fran

Hey. (:

Rachel from your primary school here. I am going to UofT for exchange for fall09 and I thought of you! (: I was wondering if you know any good deals with regards to lodging. Are you going to be in Toronto in September or will you be somewhere else?

Let me know! I am really desperate for help! (:

Thanks!

hey Rachel!

sorry i didn't get back to you earlier, i don't actually blog here much anymore so i usually don't check my blog ... haha! as for lodging, will you be staying on campus? otherwise there's always places to rent but i kind of need more information to work with.

and nope, i'm actually not going to be in UofT this Sept ... i'm heading to Tokyo, Japan, to spend a year on exchange! but let me know if i can help in any other way, like introducing you to some of my friends there or something!

heyy! (:

I am so sorry for the late reply. I am staying at Primrose hotel, it is in the city but it looks pretty far from school though. It is about $1000 cheaper than staying at a hostel in school. Pretty hard to get a hostel in school as well because I am only staying for Fall. Do you know if Primrose is within walking distance?

And I have one last tiny question? How much does an average meal cost?
