Character Name: Dr. Greg House

To describe House as odd is an understatement; better words are "smart bastard" and "smarmy asshole." He's caustic, sarcastic, manipulative and blunt. Born in a US Navy base, he's been around the world and seen most of it. His best friend, Dr. Wilson describes House as having a Rubik's complex, where there's an obsession with solving the puzzles over the usual Messiah point of view other doctors have. He also has a 5-year love-hate affair with painkillers thanks to the necrosis on his right thigh.
In regards to the angelus, and even then, House remains a staunch atheist; the angel trade is just the frosting to that cake. He argues that if God were truly real, He wouldn't allow his creations to be enslaved by humanity. But he sees the angels the same way he sees humans, only with wings and powers. House was rather ambivalent to the trade until he actually watched an auction of his own. Coming from a soldier's family, he was like everyone else, unable to afford one until later in life.
He's been through plenty of misfortunes throughout the years and originally planned on getting an angelus to try and fix the mistakes he's made. And then he spotted Ithuriel stand his ground against his auction officials and 5 or more Hunters before being subdued. That's why he paid the full price for the angel no problem. But after a while of owning him, House allowed him to have freedoms, like rent in his study, work, ect. He couldn't ask Ithuriel to do that sort of sacrifice for him and when Cuddy produced the opportunity, House set the angel free, no strings attached. Mikhel was a different story and he traded his mob car for the damaged angel. He tried to allow an equal freedom for him and it ended disastrously and the diagnostician had to give his ring to his freed brother.
Of course, that entailed some new developments in his life, mainly keeping his job and ass out of jail while quiet;y helping out any angels that come by his way and Princeton-Plainsboro. And trying to not destroy the friendship he has with Ithuriel due to his burgeoning attraction to the angel.
