Shit, if they are really looking for you, having any cell phone on you is stupid. That is often how people get scooped up, even without these new technologies.

Well, I foresee a niche for an app that zeroes out identifiable data in your voice and heartbeat. And a never-ending market for programmable phones.

Actually, that'd be popular now - a voice masking app.

Smart crims know to use and discard phones, too.

Working for one of the evil empires, I have to say it is interesting to see how much a person like me can do, even on my low level. And yet, there is good to it, too. That girl in the park in California who was raped and murdered by that parolee was tracked by her cell phone, and that's what helped to lead to his capture.

Yeah, it's an arms race that has the notably good feature that criminals tend to be really dumb, so lose disproportionately.
