IDEA/MOTIV Post

Aug 01, 2007 14:29

This post is meant to give an overview of all the motifs people are going to use for their square, so newcomers (and people still thinking) can see what others are doing and also so we don't end up with the same motif 20 times over (which I don't think will happen, anyway - considering what people already have come up with) :-)

I've gone through the ( Read more... )

Ok, i have an idea, but i'm not sure if anyone would get it and i'm not sure i could find the right stuff anyway... BUT I'm going to describe what I want to do, and then you all can tell me if it makes sense, k?

I want to get a iron-on/patch of a House... that makes sense yeah... of course it does :)
AND I'm want to get one of an eye and then color in/sew in a yellow ring around the iris of the eye... ok, get it? NO?

Wilson's Disease! no, doesn't make sense?

Wilson's Disease: the characteristic feature is a copper ring around the iris of the eye... and I always thought it was funny that the show never made fun of Wilson for having a disease named after him LOL

I was thinking of doing House's broken cane with the subtitle: Wilson's Revenge.

OK, let me know if I can't do these two, but here is what I had in mind.

I was going to make a square out of real ties (sewn onto a cotton fabric peice, of course. And if this makes to many ties I wont do it)

and one with a take out style box of chineese food on it. I know it's very cliche, but hey, it was their first meal together taht we saw.

they both sound good to me!

But maybe you should ask alex if it's okay to do two squares. :-)

Sorry, I thought that's what this thread was for since people had what they were doing in the main post thingy. Where do I go to speficically ask if it's ok?

sorry!
yeah, this is a little confusing sometimes, 'cause I don't know if alex checks this post regularly. I just always tell people to ask him personally, since it's his project. I guess you can just leave a comment in a post he made, this way you'll be sure he gets it. :-)

I've cut my square and assembled my parts but I'm looking for some other material for Hector since my husband refuses to let me cut up his Australian sheep wool rug. Imagine that! :)
