We’ve highlighted the work of many high-caliber authors in our House “What-If” Rec List project, and invited them to participate in our author interview series.

"New to me" is a great place to be. When I entered House fandom, many years of amazing fic had already been published. So many fics to feast on!! (Authors especially love it when you post comments on fics they released to the world years ago, btw. Send them some love!)
If you are relatively new to this fandom, here are my favorite places to find a smorgasbord of well-organized and/or thoughtfully-recced fics that you may have missed:
House/Wilson Requests and Recs - People post looking for specific fics or themes, and lots of very knowledgeable fans reply and discuss them. It was established by House/Wilson fans, but lots of fics discussed there are H/W friendship, any and all other pairings, or gen/no pairing. Amazing tagging system makes it easy to browse and is well tended by the mods.
Sick!Wilson - Features fics and other fan works that focus on Wilson in some kind physical and/or emotional distress. Their cross-indexing is so lovely, and inspired the multiple indexes we ( ... )

This project is made of indexes and cross-indexes, but was somehow missing an interview index.
I'm having fun connecting with people from the House fandom in the last couple weeks - especially the high-caliber writers on this list. I had been looking into the best way to archive the What-If project on AO3, and contacting our interviewees to get permission to archive the interviews. Turns out additional people even want to be interviewed. Yay! And everyone seems delighted to be reconnected with House fandom.
I re-read Jezziejay's interview yesterday and was reminded that it spawned a really great series of prompts called the Career Day Challenge. Wouldn't it be great if people revisit the prompts and write Wilson the construction worker, or any of the other vivid mental images presented there?
