Vintage
It's been a very long week, so she decides to treat herself to an evening at a wine bar in New York and a night in a fancy hotel.
Inside her comfortable hotel sanctuary, she methodically cleans off the grime from the hospital, removing any trace of the smells and blood from patients. A heated curling iron curls her hair and a delicate hand applies some dramatic eye makeup. Her lips go mostly untouched except for the trace of lip gloss she sweeps across them. A simple black cocktail dress glides over her skin, settling in place perfectly.
Every movement is slow, deliberate, with purpose. No wasted energy.
She reviews her reflection in the full length mirror, making sure that nothing is out of place. Satisfied, she heads to Vintage Wine Bar and finds a seat in a corner of the room. The easy chair is soft, inviting. She instantly feels tension and stress begin to melt away. A flight of red wines is ordered, cabernet sauvignon, because it's rich, smooth, earthy, and bold.
She is left alone for the most part, except for the attentive service from the cute waiter. The attention is nice, appreciated. She smiles and sips her wine because tonight is all for her and no one else.
