I'd love other writer's opinions on this. In the light of the cross-posting issue on LJ, I'm feeling concerned about public access to my slash fic. I friends locked, but hate to cause frustration for readers who click on the library link.
I understand the risks of posting to the internet and accept them, but would appreciate even a thin layer of privacy. Any recommendations?
You could move your fic onto its own comm, as many have done. There are a couple of writers on the list who require readers to friend their fic writing journal or comm in order to read the fic. However, if you're worried about privacy, it's easy to compare f-lists/memberships between journals and get an idea of who reads/writes what.

I had adjusted AO3 to registered users, and limited LJ, DW, and AO3 to minimizing search information on the web. Tinkering with an additional journal might be the next step. Thank you for your suggestions.
