Classics?

So, one of the projects I would like to do with this community is get a good list of the cream of the House fan fiction crop. All genres, all pairings (which means that the House/Cam fans--I know you're out there--are going to have to speak up!) all ratings, and so forth. No holds barred.

I'm not exactly sure how to set it up. I'd like to see a voting mechanism of some sort, even if it's as simple as starting a thread suggesting a story as a classic with some bit of justification, then waiting for a certain number of supporting comments and no more than two objections. The community has almost 50 watchers at this point, and I hope it continues to grow. (And toward that end, if anybody has suggestions about places that would be appropriate for community pimpage, please speak up.) So I feel like we could get started now and work slowly.

Basically, if a finished story is deemed a classic by the members of a community, the person who suggested it would write a recommendation/review of the story that may mention things in the story that might have been done better, if the reviewer so chooses. Obvious choices are fine. Not so obvious choices are also fine.

Ultimately, we'll set up a memories section for these recommendations.

Is this a good idea, or am I reaching a little too far here? Feel free to say yes; I'm one of those people with thick skin from years and years of being edited for publication and then being the "guy" who has to be the one who tells the client that a project is going over budget.
