Rec: Consider this an alternate to the latest Hall of Fame nominee, suggested by the author. This is a nice, meaty piece about Wilson, House, their deep bond and the separate internal conflicts it reveals in both characters. Good portrayal of both House and Wilson as individuals, which is hard to do in a story that covers a relationship between them. Acidic Flower uses admirable restraint and never goes over the top or strays too far from the natural characteristics of these guys. The story is tense, but not angsty or overly dramatic, told in natural, descripive language. This one is definitely worth reading. Another good example of a slash story that even non slash readers might well enjoy.
