I'll comment here, if that's OK. First off is just the formating for your LJ. Maybe its because I'm old, but I felt like I was squinting the whole time to read the type. Yes, I know that I could finagle the LJ so I could read it differently, but that's a prime reason for me to backbutton it if the story doesn't grab me right away ... it's simply not worth the effort
