My First Lawn (I'm like an episode of Scrubs)

Today I mowed a lawn for the very first time in my whole life. John did the backyard and I did the front and the little ("little") piece at the very very back. Those of you who have visited our new abode will know that the yard is friggin' huge. For those who have not had this singular experience, let me tell you: the lawn is HUGE. Congrats!

I shall verify the HUGENESS of their lawn, but it is also flat so that is helpful. The secret, grasshopper, is to overlap during sweeps, thus making sure that grass matted down during one pass won't be left down for the next.

Yep! To be absolutely safe, you can put the wheel in the middle of the last one's track. Like so:

The ____'s represent the original wheel tracks (right to left). The ....'s represent the second go-round wheel tracks (left to right). Capisci?

(I had a summer job mowing lawns in high school, so yeah.)

Yeah, you should totally do what happened at the Duck, and let half of the yard get grown up into a small forest.

Or you could build a gazebo.

Oooh, can you really plant trees at a rental place? I would doubt it, but it would be BADASS if you could.

Also a vegetable garden!
