MULTIFANDOM icons [120]

Like last time, I'm iconing Superman again, and including the usual favourites such as LOTR and STAR WARS.

I highly approve of the new Superman, Brandon Routh. Isn't he just out of this world? *giddy*

Your coloring is pretty neat. :) I guess you use selective coloring?

I have a question...what code to you use to get the colored background behind all your text and icons? It's like a table, but not quite and it's cool!

Hello! Thank you for your comment! This the first time I ever tried selective coloring, I usually use gradients for all my icons. :)

Yes, it's just a simple table with a colored background. There are no multiple "rows" and "columns" in it for the icons, just one single column where I put the text and the numbered icons.
HTML table basics. The first example. Just set a background color in the first TABLE tag at the top.

For instance:

TEXT HERE
Put icons here
01. 02. 03. 04.
Etc. etc.

The example table has a black background. You can lower the width percentage, too, so the table isn't so wide. Hope this helps!

Edited to add: Actually, it's not selective coloring... I checked and it's a curves layer. I'm more used to Paint Shop Pro (not that Photoshop savvy), I merely use Photoshop for color adjustment and tweaking. :)

I'll have to go check out your previous icons then to see the difference between your use of gradients and selective coloring. I like using gradients as well...plus color balance and levels.

Many thanks for explaining how you made your table! That is very helpful. :D
