purity question

Apr 17, 2008 09:44

I'm seriously considering getting a tattoo for my birthday this year. The thing is, my birthday falls right before Wep Ronpet and I'm not sure about the length of time I may need to heal so I'm considered pure for everything. Do any of you know?

Thanks and senebty.

If I were you I'd give it three weeks - two for standard healing, and a third "just in case."

Early birthday present, perhaps?

Yes indeed, and thanks. Now I just need to talk to the artist and hopefully get an appointment with her. Who knows, I may not get one until August, but I figure it's good to plan NOW. ^_^

Ayup two to three for all scabbing and flaking to stop. Depending on the size and if you have color work done. Small little black work pieces tend to heal faster and less messily.

Well, there's always a chance that it could get infected too (it happens)...can you wait until afterwards to get it done?

I hadn't thought of that, in which case I may wait until after. Thanks for mentioning it.

I can't think of any parts of Retreat for which ritual purity is required of non-priests? Am I having a duh moment? ;)

On the other hand, a healing tattoo could be a comfort issue.

Meaning, purity issues of uncooperative-body kinds. For example, I'm pretty sure menstruation hasn't kept people from doing non-priesty things at Retreat. Unless I'm mistaken.
