Today was fun...for the most part. I brushed both horses and rode Pee Wee for a little while because Sheba has a sore, swollen leg and I thought it might hurt to ride her. Quite a while ago, a pair of adult Sandhill Cranes started hanging around Jackie's barn. Little by little, they started coming closer, and eventually began eating the food put out for the ducks and geese. I just found out my Great Aunt Marian died last night. She was 94, and in hospice care for the last week, so at least she isn't miserable anymore....but it still makes me sad. She was the coolest old lady I've ever met. When we were in Illinoise about ten years ago visiting my mother's relatives, I remember driving her around the landscaping farm ( Read more... )

Today was the best day I've had in an extremely long time.
