A story filed yesterday by the AP suggests that Swine Flu (H1N1) is still quite contagious - even after the fevers cease. Near the bottom of the story are three studies that show longer and higher virus shed rates than previously assumed.

"according to a Gallup poll conducted in February, only 39 per cent of Americans believe in the theory of evolution."

Really? Who the hell did Gallup poll?

Is it a bad sign that I have to seriously concentrate to remember what *year* it is?

I usually know the month, week, and who the President is, but the year?
2009 just seems... *unreal*.

I lament the imminent wholesale urbanification of our little unincorporated town. They are working to install three additional on and/or off ramps from the freeway. A comment on someone else's journal led me to find this statement in Wikipedia: Christian Science avoids the theological problem of evil by teaching that evil is unreal and an illusion.
