MEMES: One Line Fic
So, I decided I want to play with that one-line-fic meme that I saw over at empressvesica. The rules? Simple:
Name a character or pairing and a prompt, and I'll write you a one sentence fic.
Simple, no? Any universe listed on my userinfo is fair game. Request as many as you'd like, as often as you'd like. Have fun!
1. Anita Blake and Highlander -- Anita Blake and Methos, no prompt given, taken from mhalachaiswords' usericon:
"Ms. Blake, I understand you're upset and rather desperately need information about a four thousand year old demon, but waving a gun in my face isn't going to get your information any faster," sighed Methos, reaching out to gently aim her gun barrel at the floor.
2. The Chronicles of Riddick (TCoR) -- Riddick/Eve, shiv:
Eve couldn't decide if he wanted to slide a shiv between her ribs or slide his body between her naked thighs--either one would make her scream.
3. Sin City -- Dwight/Gail, moon:
Gail and Dwight were legends to the girls of Old Town; their passion waxed and waned--burning them up before igniting anew.
4. Underworld -- Michael/Selene, snow:
It never occured to her that snow was anything but cold until Michael pelted her with a snowball and showed her just how warm playing in the snow could be.

Even when he was a small child, Kevin understood that soft-soled sneakers were for stealing away and hiding from the world; by the time he was grown he was very good at sneaking his life into places people least expected it.

She buried her nose in the gardenia blossoms, warm sun shining down on her shoulders, as Michael said, "I know they're not roses, but I thought you might like watching them grow."

The cheap motel where they crashed for the night had engraved guitar pics instead of matchbooks and as Maria slid one into her pocket she could hear herself fifty years from then, saying to her grandkids, "Oh, this here guitar pick is special, it's from the first time I was abducted by aliens!"

Her mama always warned her about men like Riddick, the kind a girl could drown in if she forgot herself, but Eve made a habit of ignoring her mama.

All she could think as she writhed beneath Saetan's burning touch was 'like father, like son'--they both left her breathless and broken.
10. Harry Potter -- Draco/Ginny, vintage
Draco poured vintage port into a delicately etched glass and handed it to Ginny with a whisper, "To victory, my love, in all its forms."

Ginny decided at the ripe old age of 11 that she would never be afraid again: not of scary men in books, not of school and war, not of her family and friends when they found out she'd been dealing with the devil; at least Draco had good taste in port.
11. Merry Gentry -- Meredith Gentry, Queen of Hearts
Merry knew how they talked about her back in court, the snide little comments about being the Queen of Hearts, but not a single insult, true as it may be, could hurt her if it meant she could save her people.

Willow loved the way some spells tasted on her tongue, wild and bitter, more addictive than the best dark chocolate.

Dumbledore found it soothing that he could still be surprised after all these years--not surprised that he was killed but that the death didn't take.

As Narcissa watched the owl wing its way off to America and her long lost friend, she realized that sometimes the hardest part of valor was the wisdom to know when to call for help.

He couldn't believe this nymph, this red-haired goddess, was willing to bind herself to him in front of all these people with words and rings, but if it was all a fever induced hallucination, he never wanted to be woken up.

"I can see the headlines now, " Faith crooned while tickling Giles naked stomach with a feather duster, "Slayers engage in civil war against their aging yet sexy watchers with implements of sexual expression!"

Ever time Asher caught a glimpse of Richard stalking through the Circus stiff-legged with frustrated rage, he toyed with the idea of putting him out of his misery, but to do that would damage Asher's beloved Anita, the woman who originated that same fury when Richard threw her away.

Lucian never thought he would see his life's love sacrificed to the inferno of her father's fury and vowed, even as her ashes settled to the floor like fallen leaves, that he would never let her rest unavenged.
