Well, Crap! Thanks to a ever evolving work schedule, I'm not gonna make it to BabelCon in Baton Rouge. I was really looking forward to it too... On the good side, the time off and cash saved there, and the fact that Vulkon was postponed, (again) will free me up for FenCon! Yes, the new hotel is really nice. There will be buffets.

Have you made your hotel reservation yet?

Also, Jarrod Davis, a digital artist on both Firefly and Serenity, will be coming to FenCon as part of the Lone Star Shindig.

"Jarrod served as a digital artist on both Firefly and Serenity. He was born in Odessa, Texas, and raised in Covington, Oklahoma. J-Rod, as he's known to his friends, attended Oklahoma State University in Stillwater until he dropped out to pursue CG as a career. He ended up working for Newtek, makers of the Lightwave software he has used for many of his impressive list of projects. These include Eureka, Spider-Man 2, Van Helsing, Angel, Enerprise, and the 2003 Battlestar Galactica mini-series. A photo and complete bio are coming soon."
