aprilkat suggested we make reservations for Friday night's dinner. She mentioned the BBQ place we went to last year, County Line. I've heard people mention BBQ, and Tex-mex, and pizza, and various other things . . . is there a general consensus on where you all would like to eat

I vote for either BBQ or Tex Mex on Friday night. Both places we went last year were great!

If it works out better for the Hobbit Cafe on Saturday, I have no problem with not going. I went last year and it was great but I'm fine without going again. So keep that in mind as well. Not sure how my other tattie sisters feel though :-)

I say we go with the Tex-Mex then---same place as last year! That seems to be the consensus. Don't know if they take reservations, but I'm going to try. It's a large place, thankfully.

I'm fine with not going, either. Truthfully, I'm not sure the drive is worth it for me, when I always get lost on the freeways!!!

Though take-out Chinese on Saturday night is really appealing ...

I think I'm predictable.

I want to eat as much Tex-Mex, Mexican, and Southern US food as possible. I love to eat food particular to any region that I'm visiting, and I'm happily salivating over the thought of Texan culinary delights.

I really enjoyed that place we went to Sunday night with the... gosh, what did SurgicalSteel say? Mariachi? I loved listening to his music and learning the words to the music from Sophinisba.

I do hope we get to go to the Hobbit Cafe again.

Okey dokey---the consensus is Tex-Mex! I'll call the place we went to last year. :) And will see what other places that are particularly "Texan" I can think of!

I like all kinds of food so anywhere is fine with me. Tex-Mex sounds like it might have more variety then a BBQ place.

I will hold off making plans with my SIL (if poss) since the day for the Hobbit Cafe isn't set yet. I'll call her today and if I find out there is only a certain time I can get together with her then I'll let you know.

Tex-Mex it is, according to the group mentality (those I've heard from)---and since that's one of my favorite places, I have no objections. :)

I honestly don't mind what you all decide about the Hobbit Cafe---it's a long drive, and I've been there before, so I'm completely happy to pass by if you go on Sunday. Ya'll can decide that weekend, if you like---I'm flexible.

YAY for Tex-Mex!!

I talked to my SIL yesterday and she is really flexible so I don't need to pin down my plans till I get there.
