Houston with Children

Hello!  Back in Houston area after a few years away.  New to Houston w/ kids though.  We have a zoo pass and a pass to the natural science museum.  We've been to Brazos Bend and we've heard about George Ranch.  Other family friendly stuff to do ( Read more... )

He isn't specifically a pediatrician, but I go to Dr Gary Lew in Sugar Land and he is an awesome general practitioner. Very down to earth and doesn't push pills - actually tries to get you off of them if possible - and almost always gives a homeopathic option for stuff. It's just him and his nurse in the office, so they never overbook and always spend a good amount of time with you.

A little further out there's an observatory (Richmond, I think?) Some state park. It's not free, though. Sugar Land has a new branch of the natural science museum, but I haven't visited yet.

There's a nice park off University (about 2 miles west of 59) - people park on one side, doggy park on the other, and bike trails. I take my dog there regularly - the people side looks like it has a lot of things for kids to swing on, and there's a duck pond.

There's a Farmers market at the old Sugar Land mill on Hwy 90.

Sorry, I don't have kids so I kind of suck at this.
