Day 1-Monday
Woke up at 6ish and me, Nic, and dad left at 7ish for a 10-11 hour drive up to western North Carolina to my grandparent's cabin in the mountains. The drive until Tennesee was mostly boring (so no pictures), just a lot of trees, rocks, and Waffle Houses. We didn't get to the cabin (on top of this really high ridge, so the road to it was winding and steep in places) until 5-6PM, unpacked, and sat down with my grandparents for a nice dinner of spaghetti and meatballs; which I ended up with mild heartburn in the night. :V
This is the dining area of the cabin, it's big. :V
Living area, lol Golden Girls on TV
Kitchen
This bed was damn comfortable, it was like I was sleeping on a cloud...a very fluffy one.
Day 2- Tuesday
This was the day were my uncle and his family came back from visiting San Francisco, so we met up with them at their cabin down the road. It was so nice to see them after 2-3 years. I was surprised they will be already in 11th and 10 grades. I feel old. ;_;
We hung out at my uncle's cabin and then at my grandparent's for a while. I went on a hike with my cousin Mellissa to the mail boxes, which was 2 miles down. D: I was so out of shape that I ended up with sore legs for the next 2 days. I also missed dinner so I had to warm it up myself, lame.
Uncle's cabin, unlike my Grandparent's, it wasn't surrounded by so many trees, hense I could get a good pic of the outside
One side of the living area, I had a picture of the Kitchen by Mellissa said to delete it since she didn't like how she looked in it, and I forgot to take another one, oh darn.
(Hello thar me) Up until then, I didn't know my Uncle collected Olympic pins. It was nice to see Cobi stuff other then on the internet. :V
A view from their porch. :3
Day 3- Wenesday
We left at around 9 or 10 to go white water rafting with my 2 cousins. We had to wait until this other group came, and then we took a bus up the river. The main guy was telling really corny jokes (how out bus driver was the "first" legally blind person to drive, I-40 was "Die-40", CITGO was "See-it-go!", etc.) but I like corny jokes so I laughed at some of 'em. The actual rafting was really fun. I got soaked wth the class 3 and 4 rapids and when we got to a calm part, we got out and swam in the cold river for a bit. We also "surfed" on 2 different rapids, and it was intense. My arms ended up getting sore, so I was just a ball of sore by the end of the day. No pictures from my camera on this day, but we do have some pictures at one point of the river, I need to ask for them. ~
