Yeah...um, in case you haven't noticed, Kia and I are hopelessly obsessed with our crossover OTP. XD
One night she mentioned Yukina ending up at Houtou, and then another night she said something about Yukina talking to statue!KouMama and I mentioned Kou introducing Yukina to statue!KouMama, and then another night, after neither of us could get the idea out of our heads, we ended up RP-ing it in IM. Obviously totally AU.
Also Kia
just wrote a ficlet that happens after this. ♥
Kougaiji: *walking through the hallways in a fog, heading for his mother out of habit*
Kougaiji: *entering the room and shutting the doors behind him*
Yukina: .... *still in a daze, just standing in front of Kou-mama*
Kougaiji: *just leaning against the doors with his eyes closed at first, then slowly opening them to look up at the pillar*
Kougaiji: ... *and suddenly realizing he's not alone* ... Yukina?
Yukina: ...... *slowly turning around* Wh... ..........
Yukina: .... Kougaiji-san...?
Kougaiji: *running across the room and pulling her into his arms*
Kougaiji: I thought I'd lost you.
Yukina: *feeling more than a little lost right now, but taking comfort in the fact that he's solid and apparently not a dream* ... ah...
Yukina: Where are we, exactly?
Kougaiji: *pulling back just enough to see her face* My home. ... How did you get here though?
Yukina: *shakes her head* I don't know. I suddenly couldn't sense you and I panicked-- and then the next thing I knew, I was lying here.
Kougaiji: I don't know what happened either. I wasn't even thinking about leaving.
Kougaiji: ... I didn't get to say goodbye.
Yukina: ... You don't have to.
Kougaiji: But I promised you... *cutting himself off with a smile* I guess it doesn't matter, since you're here.
Kougaiji: *kissing her*
Yukina: *kissing him back, then glancing at the stone structure* ... Wait, does that mean... this woman is..?
Kougaiji: *pulling away from her, but still holding her hands in his* Yes. This is my mother, Rasetsunyo.
Kougaiji: *looking up to make sure nothing has changed while he was away*
Yukina: ... She's... *sounding a little awed* ... she's beautiful.
Kougaiji: *glancing at Yukina and smiling, then looking up again* Mother, this is Yukina. She's... *hesitating, then continuing in a slightly choked voice* She's the woman I love.
Yukina: *giving his hands a gentle squeeze and then following his gaze, sounding a little choked herself* I'm honored to meet you, Rasetsunyo-san. .... I wanted to tell you that you've raised an amazing son.
Kougaiji: *looking down at Yukina again* I wish you could meet her properly. Maybe someday...
Yukina: *still gazing at his mother-- then blinking in surprise* Those tags...
Kougaiji: *looking at her, and then looking up in confusion* The talismans?
Yukina: *nods* They're sealing talismans, aren't they? They look almost exactly like the ones that kept me in that room.
Kougaiji: I think so. I can't get very close to them. *looking at Yukina again* That's how they kept you a prisoner?
Yukina: *bittersweet smile* I told you it was difficult to capture an Ice Maiden, didn't I? With those tags in place, however, not only was I trapped, but it blocked others from sensing me, so long as I stayed in that room.
Kougaiji: *hating the pain in her voice at the memories* It's possible that they're the same, or at least similar. I don't know much about talismans, and I wasn't here when they sealed her.
Kougaiji: I don't know if they were part of the original spell, or added later.
Yukina: Tags along wouldn't be enough... all it would be able to do is probably strengthen the spell... and most people wouldn't be able to touch them except for the one who put them there.
Yukina: ... it's too cruel.
Kougaiji: *looking at her in concern* This must be bringing back bad memories for you. I'm sorry.
Yukina: ...! *looking genuinely surprised* It's all right. My situation wasn't quite as bad as hers is... it just makes me want to help her even more.
Kougaiji: ... *trying not to get his hopes up* Is there a way to break them?
Yukina: ... I'll have to get closer.
Kougaiji: Okay... *walking cautiously closer to the lowest ropes in front of the pillar*
Yukina: *walking a little past him, reaching out to touch one of the tags* .... There is a way, yes. *fingers hovering just in front of it and there might be little sparks of energy*
Kougaiji: *making a little movement as if to stop her, but not actually reaching out* ... how?
Yukina: .... *closing her eyes* A great amount of power... or getting the one who put them here to remove them. They might be removed if that person were destroyed, but I can't verify that entirely.
Kougaiji: *suppressing his disappointment, at least he knows a little more than he did before*
Kougaiji: I don't know who put them here. It could have been the gods, and if they haven't removed them in five hundred years, I don't think they're going to do so now.
Yukina: Hm.... *little frown* ... I'm sorry. I know it's frustrating.
Kougaiji: It's okay. *looking up at his mother again* I'll find a way, someday.
Yukina: I'll help. .... I'd like to be able to talk to her one day.
Kougaiji: *pulling her into a hug* Thank you.
Yukina: .... *hugging him back* You don't have to thank me for that, Kougaiji-san.
Kougaiji: *managing a smile* I can't help it. My mother raised me to be polite.
Yukina: *little laugh* That's how I was raised as well. I don't suppose your mother knew any Koorime?
Kougaiji: I don't know. *surprised by that, and thinking it over for a moment* I suppose it's possible.
Yukina: Mm.... *looking up at her again* You have her gentleness.
Kougaiji: ... You can tell that by looking at her?
Yukina: *nods* Her presence... and her face.
Kougaiji: *looking up, lost in thought for a long moment*
Yukina: *shifting her gaze to look over at him thoughtfully*
Kougaiji: *bringing himself back to the present and looking back at the doors* I guess I can't hide in here forever. I should go find out how long I've actually been gone.
Yukina: ... *hesitantly* Should I stay here?
Kougaiji: *thinking that over* That might be best, just for a little while. Let me figure out what's been going on here, and then I'll come back for you.
Kougaiji: Or if I can't, I'll send ... Dokugakuji, since you know him.
Yukina: *nods* I don't mind keeping her company.
Kougaiji: *looking at her for a long moment, then giving her a long kiss* I love you.
Yukina: *n-not in front of your mom D:* I love you, too. *kissing him again* Go. I'll be fine, and I'm sure there are other people who want to see you.
Kougaiji: *smiling a little bit* That's assuming they didn't just see me five minutes ago.
Yukina: ... there IS that, yes. *sheepish*
Kougaiji: We remember the island, so maybe they do too? ... Only one way to find out, I guess.
Yukina: *just smiles and nods-- starting to feel a little overwhelmed by being in an entirely different world again*
Kougaiji: *thinking again* The doors don't lock, so you should probably try and stay out of sight while I'm gone.
Kougaiji: Don't come out for anyone unless it's me or Doku.
Kougaiji: ... Or a girl with orange hair and facial markings like mine. *smiling*
Yukina: .... that would be... Lirin-san?
Kougaiji: Yes. She might be followed by a woman with long hair in ponytails, and that would be Yaone. ... There's no one else in this castle I would trust.
Yukina: I'll stay hidden, then. *faintly nervous, but already looking around for a good spot to hide*
Kougaiji: *smiling at her encouragingly* You'll be okay. If you're discovered, just freeze them. They won't be expecting that, and it certainly won't harm Mother.
Yukina: *orz, hates freezing people, but she's definitely not defenseless /o/* I'll do my best...!
Kougaiji: *giving her one more kiss before heading for the door*
Yukina: *watching him, then silently vanishing into the shadows to wait*
... and then Hei and Yin show up. And then Naoto and Ky do too, and they all go take over the castle and live happily ever after. *shot*
