Border Tutorial (Level - Easy)

Jul 13, 2004 16:51

Someone requested a tutorial on how to add a simple border around their icon. Here is the method that I use and there is of course other ways of doing it. This is the way that I have chosen because I find it simple.

On to the Tutorial )

Great tutorial, but could you put it behind a lj cut? :)

OOOOPs I was at work when I did this post. I created all the pics at home but didn't have time to post it there. I know I hate that when people don't do the lj-cut :-P

you can also select the whole thing (ctrl+a), right-click, and click on "stroke." then put in a value of 2 or higher :)

I did everything up until the Layer Styles step, and it turns out that all the menu items are grayed out except for "Show/Hide all layer styles". I'm using Photoshop Elements 2.0 because it's the only version of Photoshop that I can afford. :(

sorry for the late reply but did you ever figure it out or do you still need me to research it for you. I'm not familiar with Elements 2.0 but maybe I can find do some searching and find the answer if you haven't already.
