Character Name: Lilly Pendragon
Character Series: Suikoden III
Character Age: 21
Background:
http://gensopedia.duefiumi.com/index.php?title=Lilly_PendragonPersonality: Lilly Pendragon is described as determined, competitive, and hard-driving. All of these are true. She’ll stop at nothing to achieve a goal even if she has a flimsy reason for it. She’s not afraid of taking action; in fact, it’s quite the opposite. She loves to take action, whether it’s running after supposed bandits or leading an army into battle. She’s not against getting her hands dirty when she has to as long as she has her attendants there to do most of the work for her. She is hard on her attendants, though--she even drives one to request a resignation at the end of Suikoden III.
She has both a strong sense of justice and a love for her people, even if it’s silly or over the top at times. At one point, she leads a charge against people simply because their faces look evil, and she gets her country involved in a war they should realistically be no part of simply because of how far they are from the conflict. Still, she’d do anything for her country. The whole reason for setting off on her adventure was to find the bandits who had been robbing Tinto caravans and traders.
The Tinto heiress doesn’t always have a winning personality, though, and that’s an understatement. She’s arrogant and self-centered. She hates when people aren’t listening to her and when she doesn’t get her way. She expects privileges when she hasn’t earned any, such as being made co-leader of the new Fire Bringer army or getting the lead role in a play. She’s also quick to anger and very rude. She’s openly spiteful of the Duck clan when she’s frustrated with them, and she’s infamous for an incident at a royal ball where she got drunk, slapped one of the country’s knights, threw wine, and overturned tables in a brawl. The two of them became friends afterwards, however.
Her short attention span and poor planning skills are an endless source of grief for Reed and Samus, her attendants. She has poor planning skills, setting out to do one thing and then switching to another as often as she fits. She also fails to take into account things like money and supplies. Despite this, she loves traveling and adventuring...except for waking up early enough to leave the inn. She also has a tendency to overexaggerate her childhood. At one point, she was to be made Neclord's 70th bride and was rescued by Riou, but she was only a young child. As an adult, she believes she was part of the team that helped defeat him, even though she no longer remembers Riou.
Lilly, overall, is also a social and friendly person. She enjoys friendship, and she knows how to relax. At one point during the war, she writes a comment to Hugo, worried about the tense atmosphere and expresses a desire to take time and relax. She believes that people she travels with are important, calling them “travelmates,” regardless of how she met them. When she's friends with someone, she has enough sense to step back and not act entitled around them, such as when she tells Hugo she doesn't have to listen to her as an orde, and that'd it only be a favor between them.
As the daughter of a president, Lilly is also very spoiled. She had humble beginnings, however, and as a result, she has poor table manners. Still, she’s able to convince her own father to give her an army to aid a country on her own justice-focused whims, and like aforementioned, she expects a yes at nearly every turn. She thinks she's always right, and that her course of action is always the correct one. She loves her family--she really does, but as a result of the duties of her father, she’s not close with them at all anymore as well. It’s hinted at in an investigation that Lilly is lonely enough to warrant pity. It’s mentioned that her family stopped caring about her as much, which is why she continues to head wherever she wants and get anything she wants from her father.
Unfortunately for others, while Lilly may be slow to pick up on things or get ignored, her title isn’t just for show. While traveling in the Grasslands, she knew more about some aspects of the lore more than Hugo himself did, and he was the son of a chief. She also knew information about the terrain, hinting that not only did she use her Tinto scouts effectively, but that she was a good student in the past. Also, while at Budehuc castle, Juan complains about her personality but mentions that she’s a great fighter incapable of inflicting heavy damage. Not only does she lead a unit effectively in war, but she leaves to study in a distant land once the war is over. She’s more dedicated than she appears.
Abilities: Lilly is skilled with a blade and is gifted with two rune slots, meaning she can use two different types of magic or combat skills. She has a high-ranking affinity for thunder magic, and it will be assumed that was one of her runes.
