My friend Susan, from work, has puppies that need homes and we get the only girl. Also, she is the runt! (Which makes her the most special of all the puppies, of course.) This is the picture Susan gave me - a little blurry, but still very cute!

On a philosophical level I *love* that runt has become a thing people actually cherish. Animals who used to be "lesser thans" are now more and more actively selected from litters.
