If I'm not thinking of designs or images, my mind is seraching for worlds to create and explore. I've been mulling over one that would enable me to cross-over with the furry fandom, but one that was not completely tied to it - I like

Sounds like an interesting idea - the science behind cybernetics, uploading, etc. will be something to look into (and my brain's pickable when you feel the need). You ever seen the Aberrant setting? There's some ideas there you can play with, too.

Also, the middle eastern group is more likely, if a pan-Islamist organization, to use the term "Caliphate", for historical reasons.

*hrms and noddles* Since my 'inspiration' right now is Ghost in the Shell, I do want to focus more on the Warp & Storm aspects of the concept, with just enough cyber-tech to keep things interesting, but secondary to everything else.

I sort of view the organization names as being mutable - much like how we referred to the USSR (United Soviet Socialist Republic), but they referred to themselves as the CCCP (Союз Советских Социалистических Республик, or the Soyuz Sovetskikh Sotsialisticheskikh Respublik). Basically, the Anglicized version of the name along with the 'internal' version of the name; but there's also the fact that I was typing this all up off the top of my head, so haven't done any refining yet ;)

*grins* Well, either way, you know where to reach me if you wanna boucne ideas. The Caliphate thing was jsut somethign I thought I'd throw out there, given the Islamic instance of Dominionism focuses on the re-creation of the original Islamic superstate, the Caliphate, which spanned from Morocco to Persia, IIRC, largely at the expense of the Byzantine empire.

Hmmm, ya know, I wasn't really aware of that, but now that you mention it, it tugs at some way distant memory *laughs and grins crookedly* I'm definitely gonna be pickin' at your brain, all L337-L1K3! ;)
