The school's financial aid officer called me today to tell me everything's fine with my aid. I checked online and saw that the Department of Education is saying that everything's fine with my aid. Except for one thing

So glad to hear that the SNAFU with the aid is sorted, although the timing of the payments sucks.

Thanks! I need to set up a testing appointment, and no one will call me back to set it up. :(

What really ticks me off about the aid is that financial aid keeps saying "Oh, we have no idea when your aid is going to come. We have nothing to do with that. Oh, we can't do anything about your aid coming in two payments. We have nothing to do with that."

Except, at my old school, every semester they would send out aid checks 2-3 business days after the last day of the first week of classes. And, it all came at once. And, it even says on my aid form from the Department of Education that the school is taking the money out on the 13th (yesterday) and March 3rd. Basically, they're sitting on my money for more than a month!!!!! It's $5,000 of my money!

That timing really sucks. I'm with you, I hate it when organisations hold on to your money like that.
