Character name: Naminé
Fandom: Kingdom Hearts
Timeline: Post-KH2
Age: Actually just over a year old, but physically she's around 15.

~*Magical*~ abilities and strengths:
Obviously since Naminé is a Nobody she has super awesome Keyblade wielding powers or can attack with scythes and fancy crap!! Not at all. In fact, she really doesn't seem to have anything going for her power-wise. But! But it's not like she drew the completely short end of the stick. She can manipulate a person's memories. As in, she can rewrite them, destroy them, restore them-- all the works! She can really completely change a person's entire life with this deal, really. It must be pretty awesome having such an unrestrained and powerful ability, right?

Except it only works with people who have some sort of connection with Sora. Oops. Also, she can make nifty corridors of darkness (portals basically) and can use darkness to alter what she looks like (like taking on the form of Kairi). She can also change the forms of other objects.

How would they use their abilities?:
Given that she really dislikes the whole memory manipulation thing, she really won't be using it much at all. Only if the situation ever really calls for it, and only if it's the right thing to do and if she has permission.

Appearance:
Naminé is fairly petite body-wise, and pretty pale. She also has blue eyes and blonde hair that is draped over her shoulder. Because she's Kairi's Nobody, she does resemble her even though it's not as noticeable as the other Nobodies. She wears a plain white dress that goes mid-thigh and regular sandals. Really, she probably has the simplest outfit in the entire series given that everyone else's clothes is a combination of zippers and belts.

Background:
So once upon a time there was this Keyblade wielder named Sora. Sora was kinda DERP and spent the entire game searching for his two friends Riku and Kairi. Anyway, it turns out that Riku has jealousy issues and Kairi lost her heart, but the real kicker is that Kairi's heart was inside Sora THE WHOLE TIME. In order to free her heart, Sora stabs himself and both Roxas and Naminé are born. It makes sense. Really.

Moving on! Naminé is born as a Nobody, a being without a heart thus they are incomplete and don't actually exist. But she's a special Nobody given the fact that 1.) Her Other (Kairi) is still alive and 2.) She was born of two people (Kairi's heart and Sora's body and soul) and 3.) Said two people she was born from are the goddamn Princess of Heart and Keyblade Master. This pretty much explains why she has power over Sora's memories. Anyway, shortly after her birth she was captured by Organization XIII (a group of Nobodies) when she was born in Castle Oblivion. Now I can only think of one way to accurately describe the situation going on at that place: SO I HEARD YOU LIKE TRAITORS SO I PUT A TRAITOR IN YOUR TRAITORS SO YOU CAN BETRAY WHILE BEING BETRAYED. Marluxia and Larxene want to overthrow Xemnas; Lexaeus and Zexion want to counter Marluxia and Larxene; Vexen is going back and forth between the two groups; Axel is just doing as he pleases like the bad ass mofo he is (there really is a good reason for his actions though, but since this is a Naminé app and not an Axel one, let's not get into that).

Naminé was involved with the plans of Marluxia and Larxene. Oh, and Vexen's, kinda. See, Marluxia wanted to use Sora's power in order to become the leader of the Organization. So after getting our little hero to enter Castle Oblivion, Marluxia gave Naminé the job of altering Sora's memories. She made him forget about important events and people, while slowly easing false memories of herself into his heart. She... pretty much replaced his memories of Kairi with memories of herself. Even more, Vexen created a Riku Replica! Naminé also gave the Replica false memories, and he frequently clashed with Sora. Anyway, Axel worms his way into Marluxia's trust by killing Vexen only to betray him right after by freeing Naminé. Naminé then proceeds with telling the truth to Sora. They are attacked by the Riku Replica and Larxene, and both are beaten although the Replica doesn't get killed off until later. Marluxia kidnaps her, Sora kills Marluxia, hurrah the day is saved. However in order to fix Sora's altered memories, Naminé has to put him to sleep in order to restore the links into their original form.

She also helps Riku, who was also running around in Castle Oblivion, realize that he doesn't have to run away from the darkness inside him. After Zexion is defeated, Naminé and Riku both join up with DiZ (former ruler of Radiant Garden who is quite racist? existist? against Nobodies) in order to restore Sora's memories. This leads into the events of 358/2 Days. After awhile Naminé realizes that there is a slight hitch in their plans to awaken Sora: Roxas. It turns out that Sora can never be complete without his Nobody. Things get even more complicated with Xion in the picture. Not only is Roxas soaking up Sora's memories, but Xion is too. So the only way for Sora to wake up is to have him absorb both Roxas and Xion. Yeah. In any case, Naminé reveals to Xion the truth of what she really is and eventually Xion is absorbed by Roxas. One problem down. Riku kidnaps Roxas shortly afterward, and they put the poor guy in a virtual Twilight Town so Naminé can finish repairing Sora's memories in peace. However as the days progress, Naminé decides to meddle and meet Roxas. By their second meeting she reveals Roxas' true identity and-- she really seems to have a thing for hitting people with life changing news, doesn't she? Huh. Er, right, so in their final meeting she tells him about the Organization and that he won't truly disappear if he fuses with Sora, he'll just become whole. And so he did. DiZ tells Riku to destroy Naminé after her job is finished, but instead he leaves her in the care of Axel before going PEACE OUT.

We don't see her until the very end of the game, in The World That Never Was. She rescues Kairi and Pluto who were both kidnapped by Saïx, although she disappears after Kairi and Riku are reunited. She then appears again when the group are trying to figure out a way to return home. She opens a portal for them, and she and Roxas then join together with their respective Others after saying that they'll always be together as long as Sora and Kairi are. Awwwww how cute they didn't have horribly gruesome and sad deaths like all the other Nobodies KYAA KYAAAAAAA.

Personality:
Alright, so, the most important thing about a Nobody: They have no emotions. Whenever they smile or laugh or whatever it is that they do? They're pretty much just faking it. Or at least, they use the memories of their past life in order to figure out how to react to a situation. So while some may be just pretending to have emotions, other are simply using their memories as a sort of guide. Or something. tl;dr Nobodies have identity issues.

But Naminé (and Roxas, actually) is different in that case. Because of the odd natural of her birth, she was born with no actual memories of her own. Thus she had no past personality to go off of in her current state of... er, non-existence. She pretty much just followed the orders that were given to her without any objection. But as the story goes on, it's more and more obvious that she does show emotion. The main theory on this is because the two of them co-existed with their other selves, and even Xemnas implies that Axel started obtaining emotions of his own because of a connection with Sora. But since that's all veeeeery complicated and hasn't been fully explained yet, I won't get too into that.

Back to the whole her following orders thing-- in the beginning, all she really did was do what the Organization told her to. She was pretty meek, and didn't really speak unless she had to. But she does have a strong sense of justice; she did everything that she could in order to help Sora and Riku in CoM, and she even went way out of her way in order to help Roxas. She feels guilty really easily over things, and doesn't like hurting people which, rather sadly, she has done a lot. Because of this, she's pretty willing to sacrifice herself in order to save someone. Although after the Castle Oblivion incident she was still somewhat quiet in nature, she became more determined in order to do the right thing. She can be pretty sneaky in her actions, and will go behind someone's back if it means helping another. So Naminé is like. A ninja of goodness or something. She's fairly serious, but she has frequently laughed and smiled and all that before so she's not stoic or anything.

Have you read up on how the game works?: Characters can earn money through missions, freelance, or mooching off people! Although the mooching off part isn't really them earning the money themselves, but it's still money, and oh god why do I keep talking. Communication is via FlamingFerret.

1st person sample:
[Only a hand is shown on the screen for a few seconds. Eventually, it moves out of the way to reveal a girl.]

Is this how it works...? Ah, okay then. It's less complicated than the other computers, but it's really not the same, is it? I suppose a good joke for this situation would be, I didn't know that Kairi had electronics inside her heart. Maybe this is how Roxas and I will still be together, through messaging each other? It's not a very funny joke, I'll admit.

[Her playful look fades into one more serious.]

So why aren't I complete? This is definitely not any place that I've been to before, much less Kairi. Did something go wrong? There are so many things we don't know about the heart, but I'm sure this isn't one of them. Your Majesty, are you out there, listening? Riku? I didn't think that I'll feel so helpless again. I-- I'm going to look around. There has to be an explanation out there, somewhere. But...

[She lifts up the book and turns it over.]

At least they're kind enough to leave gifts.

3rd person sample:
The sight may have been slightly silly to one passing by. A girl nestled down on the ground, her legs neatly tucked under her, with a sketchbook settled on top of her lap. A pencil-- she sadly lacked her usual choice of drawing utensil-- was held firmly in her hand. But she made no movement in order to delineate anything on the page. Instead, Naminé kept her eyes closed, her head slightly inclined towards the ceiling. If one didn't know any better, they could have mistaken her stance as one of sleep.

A small smile formed on her lips, and she slowly opened her eyes. Without a moment's hesitation, her hand delicately began to form images onto the paper in front of her. Lines and shapes merged into palm trees and clock towers; the faces of people she once knew decorated these locations. By the time her fingers finally loosed their grip on the pencil, almost the entire page was full of doodles. It was, quite frankly, much more cluttered than her usual work. It appeared as if she jotted down any random thought that had crossed her mind, not even caring if the ideas clashed or not.

Yet it was more than that. Naminé had attempted to cram her entire life into a small square. Or non-life, as some back home would have said. It was a reminder of what she wanted back-- not for herself, but for the others that deserved it. Satisfied, she stood, closing the sketchbook. Giving the room surrounding her one last look, she departed for her own bedroom. She smiled at everyone who passed by, clutching her memories to her chest.
