It may be an Australian online dating problem that my friends complain about, as all the ones who have complained have been Australian.

I do know a friend of a friend who met her husband online here in Oz. So it CAN happen.

One of my best friends just married a man she met online too, but they met on a webcomic forum. Interestingly, the day they met in real life, her husband to be was under the impression she was a 40 year old man.
