So I'm doing a research paper on the gendered nature of eating disorders and was browsing the e.d. section of the library the other day... there were a couple books about COE/BED... which has nothing to do with my project, but I almost checked them out anyway. I decided not to, knowing I barely have enough time to read my required books anyway... ( Read more... )

good entry.

gender + ED = SO interesting.

there is an ED group on my campus. but i thought the last thing they want there is a genderqueer boy so i never went.

i'm doing outpatient now with a ED specialist in town. she works on a sliding scale. she works with COE and bingeing, too, not just anorexia and bulimia. since i am all over theb board, i like. it's been helpful so far.

It seems odd that an e.d. group would be bigoted or genderqueer-phobic... most of the people with e.d.s that I've come across (mostly online, though) are more open minded because of all they've gone through... sorry you don't feel welcomed. :/
