Exclamation marks should not be used to add emphasis to a declarative sentence.

Is that in support requests, or in English in general? I ask because I was always taught otherwise.

Actually, sorry for the flood, let me just do this properly and delete the others.

English in general. The problem has gotten so extreme that people have forgotten what exlamation marks are legitimately for. *sighs*

The problem is, there isn't any good proper way to add emphasis in Englush. YOU CAN TYPE IN ALL CAPS, which most people find even uglier.
But it is wrong.

Once you have reached a point where other people will look up to you for what you have done and achieved, you can start complaining about others. Not before that point. And even then, you should stay polite and add constructive criticism. Your comment was not constructive. Has anybody ever told that politeness gets you to places that you will never reach while being snotty?
