i don't know if you have this sort of thing where you are, but, the ceilings here are occasionally made with something called "stucco" which is like... a plaster which partially drips, but then hardens before it would reach the floor. anyways, it leave a pattern on the roof of a whole bunch of small drips sorta thing... almost like a mini-cave. but, they're sorta sharp too, like, for example, if you had a helium balloon in your room and floated up and touched that stucco, it would pop. but all that is besides the point. i would always try to count the hundreds of small spikes. or perhaps see some sort of picture out of it. it was my childhood way of unfocusing on the situation around me, and just going away for a while, i suppose. but this is all besides the point. one day i tried to start scrubbing the stucco away, and making it just a plain flat roof. needless to say, it created what looks more like a scar in the ceiling ( ... )
