as if there was any doubt in anyone's mind, the daily news is officially the biggest piece of trash on the face of the earth (it may have been the new york post, but it doesn't really matter because they're essentially the same crappy newspaper). their lead headline read "THE DORITO BANDITO" and had a huge picture of saddam hussein next to it,

The Daily News, the New York Post, and Newsday all ran with essentially the same front page. I had the chance to look at them all next to each other and with the exception of the giant Doritos bag on the News (hey, free advertizing), they were pretty much identical.

The Times had the deceny to keep the story off the front page, though I'm sure it ran somewhere. I didn't see the Journal or the Sun, so I've got no idea what they did with it.

Oh, by the way, yesterday's (Friday's) Daily News front page was a lede for an editorial. I think I may hate the News more than I hate the Post. At least the Post, as terrible a paper as it is, readily acknowledges that its purpose is to entertain over inform; the News seems to sincerely believe that it's credible.
